Ewa,it was the first time for us at the Halle Orchestra at St. George's Hall in Bradford today
(24.10.2008). My father, Bronislaw is 90 and we dressed him in a suit and a black bow tie (we were on the first row in the stalls). He has dementia, but I know he loved the concert. My friend, Marysia Karas, kindly brought us from Bingley in her car, and I felt a deep passion with the music played tonight. Ewa, it was a great pleasure and priviledge to have you conduct us again on 28th June.
You took charge and your natural friendly nature shone through your conducting and your face was radiant and happy and so was everyone else!
Anna played the Recorder Concerto very well as did Alan with the trumpet concerto.
Good luck with the Halle and please keep in touch - who knows our paths may cross again - hopefully sooner rather than later - well done! |

Hi.
When are you coming to visit us in Iceland? We thought you were still somewhere homeless in Poland, and then we read about you being World-famous in all the big papers.
We eat Prince-Polo every day and think about you. You have to send some of that apple flavoured Prince-Polo sometime, since a fat Dutch guy ate all of the chocolate you brought to Spain for me.
Hey - the WYC has a big anniversary coming up. I'm foreseeing Ewa Strusinska as main conductor of all the serious stuff, Bragi Thor Valsson as conductor of all the really easy light stuff and Chi Hoe Mak as accompanist. How about it? Shall we put in a joint bid?
